Updated: Apr 1, 2021

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) announced that Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Center for Innovative Practices has been awarded a grant to coordinate a new statewide Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (COE).

The COE will be responsible for building and sustaining a standardized assessment process, evaluating the effectiveness of services, and expanding service and care coordination capacity for children with complex behavioral health needs and their families. The Center will also provide orientation, training, coaching, mentoring, and other functions/supports as needed to support Ohio's statewide child caring provider network.

As a partner to Case Western Reserve University, the Ohio Children's Alliance will manage the COE Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) initiatives in partnership with state, county, and local provider agencies.

The Ohio Children's Alliance is proud to be a collaborative partner with Case Western and will manage part of the Center of Excellence scope of work, particularly around the Family First Prevention Services Act implementation. We’re extremely excited for all the innovative work ahead and will keep you updated as things progress.
