Ohio Children's Alliance and Child & Family Collaborative Of Ohio Release Back-to-School Report

Updated: Aug 28, 2020

Planning for the 2020-2021 pandemic school year poses unprecedented challenges to schools, students, and families. Many students will begin the school year with heightened social-emotional needs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ohio Children's Alliance and the Collaborative want to ensure that schools, parents, and other supportive individuals are ready to address these new behavioral health challenges. As a result, a Back-to-School Report was created with gracious support from CareSource.

The report contains information on what struggles kids may be facing due to COVID-19, how telehealth and virtual platforms fit into behavior planning, and what the next steps are in accessing crucial mental health services.

Also contained in the document are additional resources and contact information for community providers within the Ohio Children’s Alliance. These providers, located in every region of Ohio, are available to serve children, families, and schools.

We hope that schools and families will find the Back-to-School report a helpful guide in navigating this unprecedented time. You can view the report here.
