Policy & Advocacy

Our work shapes policies and funding that benefit Ohio’s children and families. The Ohio Children's Alliance provides advocacy and resources to keep you updated on policy changes and best practices. Our dedicated team consistently advocates on numerous children's policy issues, engaging with leaders in state departments, the Ohio General Assembly, the Governor’s Office, and the federal government. By being a member, you'll ensure your voice is heard, gain access to expert analysis, representation at decision-making tables, and the opportunity to collaborate with national child welfare leaders.

Professional Education Opportunities 

The Ohio Children’s Alliance offers members exceptional conferences and professional development opportunities to not only assist with meeting continuing education and professional licensing requirements but ultimately to deepen our sectors knowledge, further develop key skills, and gain new perspectives to ensure we’re making the greatest impact on Ohio’s children and families. Our Annual Spring Conference draws over 450 attendees from across the state and has included keynote speakers such as Martin Luther King III and Dr. Bruce Perry. 

Support & Innovation 

The Ohio Children's Alliance goes beyond just membership – it's a partnership for growth and innovation.  Expert guidance is available for interpreting rule changes, liaising with licensing boards, engaging with the community, and receiving personalized assistance as needed. Opportunities abound for involvement in innovative child and family-centered programs and workforce groups. In addition to these opportunities, the Alliance can further support you with strategic planning for launching or expanding services, and even assist with research projects.

Services & Business Opportunities  

Joining the Ohio Children’s Alliance opens doors to a range of valuable business-to-business services and products aimed at bolstering your organization's success. Membership grants access to Ohio’s our Collaborative, a clinically integrated network of community behavioral health providers. Participation in the Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program with Comp Management has saved member agencies thousands of dollars each year. Members typically save 53% on their Workers’ Compensation rate depending on the number of employees and claims history. In addition, this program provides consultation to agencies who have experienced a negative claim history to help design and implement risk reduction strategies that return the agency to eligibility for our discounted program. The cost of full annual membership with Ohio Children’s Alliance is based on your agency’s previous fiscal year expenditures. This information can be found on your agency's latest 990, 1040, 1120, or 1065 documentation available. If your organization is multi-state, dues are based on Ohio expenditures.
